Week 7, last blog

This is the last blog of the quarter and I have to admit that I'm glad that this quarter is almost over. This class had been extremely difficult and had completely destroyed my G.P.A. I have tried to understand the content but I just haven't gotten it. Also I ended up taking a class that I didn't need for my program which is a little frustrating. But I have to admit that I have learned some things that have interested me like typing and genetics.my boyfriend and I have been talking about what genetics or phenotypes that or children might have from the both of us. So mostly this week I have been doing little blocks with hair color, eye color and blood type. It is interesting to figure out what ratio of what your children could come out looking like and figuring out blood types.

Also I did one on me for blood type since I don't know what my father is since I never knew him and since I'm A+ and my mom is O+ that makes him an A blood type. I guess that was simple but really before I took this class I had no idea of how all that was determined.

Well all I can do now is try to do okay on this last quiz and final and hopefully I can salvage my G.P.A since my GI Bill is riding on it.

Week 6

Its late, I'm up in the mout 4x4ing. We are so high up that we drove through a thick stormhead which was a little scary because you couldn't see which wag the road went. The air is warm too which you woild think that at this elevation and in the clouds it would be cold. I think its kind of like how in the summer the areas around the sound is cooler in summer and warmer in winter to due the water being able to absorb the heat in summer and release it in winter.

I think that at higher elevations the clouds you higher humidity and water is able to retain heat.

Well that's all I have.

Week 5

I totally forgot about my blog until now. Sometimes this can be so difficult to remember when you have so much other things going on that tend to consume your life.

The week before last I had an appointment for a colposcopy (cervical biopsy). I thought it was interesting that to prepare for the bioposy, to make the cells more visible they apply regular vinager to the cells.

As the doctor was inspecting the cells it was realized that the cells were not spreading and a biopsy did not have to be conducted (so happy). My cells are abnormal and clustered but as long as I go back every year for my pap and HPV tests things should be fine. But I know now that every girl/boy at age of 12, should get the HPV injections to stop this from happening to more people.
